From the simplest of interactions, we shape our dog’s behavior.
Whether it’s the way you greet your dog or how you play with them, it all has a profound impact.
Dog training is life training.
The cognitive tools we use to train our dogs are all ones we utilize in our everyday lives, from reverse engineering a goal, to effectively communicating our desires, to finding the balance for what psychologist Lev Vygotsky coined “The Zone of Proximal Development” (read more below). This is a compassion-based approach, which is rooted in understanding our dogs and using that understanding to shape their behavior.
“You name it, I’ve trained it!”
Reactivity, Separation anxiety, possessiveness, leash manners, recall- you name it, I’ve trained it (or un-trained it)!
I’m David León, a dog training professional who’s serviced LA and NYC for the past 5 years. I’ve guided hundreds of dogs towards success through putting patience, understanding, love, and faith into practice; all backed by my knowledge of canine/human psychology.
